Quid Pro Quo

A listening post on the edge of a Terran system picks up the unmistakeable signature of a High Elf colony ship emerging unannounced into realspace. With no clear course of action, the lone guard on duty finds himself at one end of a tense standoff, orders of magnitude above his paygrade.
